5 Simple Ways To Incorporate Magic Into Your Daily Life

Being a witch in the modern world can be hard, and often we just can’t find the time to practice. But does it really have to be this way? Shouldn’t we be able to incorporate magic into our life somehow? Not to worry! While I may not have all the answers in the world, here are five of my favourite ways to add a bit of magic to my everyday routines when I don’t have extra time to dedicate to witchcraft.

1. MaGiCal MOrNiNG RitUAlS

I like to start my day with a touch of magic… this doesn’t have to be some elaborate ritual. It can be anything from lighting a candle, drawing a tarot card, or meditating a few minutes to set the tone for your day. Start your mornings with intention!

If you’re looking for a bit of inspiration, here’s what I currently do:

I usually start my day with a cup of herbal tea. (Yeah, it’s no coffee, but I can’t have too much caffeine anymore, anyway.) What type of tea I drink depends on my needs and plans. For example, a cup of mint tea does wonders if I need to focus and be energised, while chamomile is one of my go-to teas for self-care days. It helps me get in the right mood for my day, as well.

Depending on how busy my day is, that is where my morning ritual ends. If I have some extra time, however, I also like to do a one-card tarot draw for the day. The question I keep in mind for this is “How can I get the most out of my day today?” but, really, you can choose any question that will help guide you through your day.

2. fOLlOW THe MOON

There is a reason witches are always associated with the moon, and even when I wasn’t actively practicing, I was always keenly aware of the moon phases and their effect on me and my life. It is always a good idea to align your activities – magical and otherwise – with the phases of the moon.

And I’m not talking about elaborate rituals during the full or new moon, making moon water, or anything the like. Simply setting intentions and manifesting your desires during the new moon, and letting go of what no longer serves you during the full moon, can do wonders for you!

3. THe pOWeR Of HeRbS

Herbs can be a powerful tool for any witch, and I tend to use them often. They don’t need to be fancy “witchy” herbs that you can only get at specialised stores, many useful herbs can be found at the grocery store!

4. CRYStAl MaGiC

While I am not necessarily a crystal witch, I have come to appreciate them in recent times. I do not recommend crystals as a cure-all, essentially, but I’ve found it useful to carry crystals on me (e.g. in jewellery) or keeping them at my work spaces. My favourite crystal (as you may have guessed from the colour scheme of this website) is Amethyst, which is great for focus and tranquility. I have a couple of Amethyst rings that I wear frequently, as well as some crystal shards scattered around my desk area.

5. AffirMatiOnS

To close out this list, I’d like to come back to one of my favourite morning rituals. Like I said, affirmations have become a solid part of my daily routine, and it truly has helped me on my journey to being my best self. Speaking your intentions into existence can help manifest and attract positive energy. I highly recommend trying it for yourself!
